The Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery was established on September 12, 2023, in response to the widespread prevalence of vascular diseases, including both arterial and venous conditions, among the general population and particularly among patients with oncological diseases.

Vascular complications and exacerbations may frequently occur in patients undergoing systemic anticancer therapy, radiation therapy, or surgery, requiring timely, accurate, and specialized management.

The department performs a comprehensive range of vascular and endovascular procedures, including:

• Vascular reconstructive surgery in patients with oncological conditions
• Endovascular arterial procedures, including balloon angioplasty and stenting
• Hybrid vascular procedures
• Resection of abdominal aortic aneurysms with prosthetic graft replacement
• Resection of peripheral arterial aneurysms with prosthetic graft replacement
• Combined phlebectomy of the lower extremities
• Endovenous laser thermal ablation (EVLT)
• Crossectomy
• Thrombectomy and endarterectomy
• Carotid endarterectomy
• Profundoplasty
• Carotid artery prosthetic reconstruction
• Inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement
• Extra-anatomic arterial bypass procedures

The department is fully equipped for vascular surgery, including a comprehensive range of specialized surgical instruments, a state-of-the-art phlebology laser system, and a digital angiography system with a dedicated angiographic table designed to support hybrid vascular procedures.
