The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care provides care for patients during the early postoperative period, as well as for patients requiring intensive care and continuous medical monitoring.

More than 6,000 patients receive care in the department annually. The department has 20 beds and is equipped with the necessary advanced medical technology, including X-ray and ultrasound diagnostic equipment, as well as a dialysis machine.

This infrastructure enables continuous monitoring of patients’ vital signs and clinical status, facilitating dynamic assessment and rapid intervention whenever necessary.

Anesthesia Services

The department provides all major types of anesthesia commonly used in modern medical practice, including:

• General anesthesia
• Spinal anesthesia
• Epidural anesthesia
• Regional anesthesia

When clinically indicated, different anesthesia techniques may also be combined to provide optimal patient management.

Interventional Pain Management

An important area of the department’s practice is interventional pain management, which involves minimally invasive procedures aimed at controlling and alleviating difficult-to-manage pain syndromes.
