Visit of Professor Wenlin Wang to the National Center of Oncology: Joint Surgery and Knowledge Exchange
We were honored to welcome Professor Wenlin Wang, Head of the Institute of Chest Wall Surgery at the Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Guangzhou, China, to the National Center of Oncology (NCO) named after V.A. Fanarjyan.
As part of his visit, Professor Wang and Dr. Tigran Byuzandyan, Head of the Thoracic Surgery and Interventional Pulmonology Department at NCO, performed a joint surgical intervention involving chest wall resection — partial removal of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ribs and sternum — followed by tumor excision and reconstructive plastic surgery.
Professor Wang also met with NCO’s medical staff and clinical residents, providing professional consultations and sharing his vast experience. He was warmly received by NCO Director, Dr. Karen Tsarukyan (PhD), with whom he discussed ongoing collaboration and future directions of professional exchange.
In his remarks, Professor Wang emphasized the significant progress of chest wall surgery in Armenia thanks to NCO specialists, expressing his joy in visiting Armenia regularly for knowledge exchange and deeper cooperation.
At the National Center of Oncology, we attach great importance to international collaboration and professional exchange. Such partnerships not only enhance expertise and clinical outcomes but also serve as bridges connecting leading specialists from around the world — united by one mission: improving patients’ quality of life.
Continuous learning, mutual trust, and global cooperation remain the key drivers of our progress.
